About
The Journal of Information Warfare was created to provide a forum for academics and practitioners in the broad discipline of information warfare and operations. The journal's audience includes academic researchers, defense and military professionals, government officials, and industry professionals. Topics covered in the journal range from the physical destruction of systems to the psychological aspects of information use and protection.
The journal provides access to some of the latest pivotal thinking in areas of information warfare and cybersecurity. When JIW was first published in September 2001, information warfare was a topic deemed to be on the periphery of military studies. As tactics and potential sources of attack have changed, cybersecurity has become a primary focus of those studies. JIW draws together the latest in research and thinking to deliver high quality, highly technical papers on cutting-edge information warfare and cyber warfare topics.
