Professor Witold Abramowicz is a Professor of Economics, has a habilitation in the field of mathematics, and is an engineer. He is the chair of the Department of Information Systems at Poznan University of Economics, Poland. He runs the SmartBrain - Smart and Big Data Research and Innovation Center. For several years, he worked at the best Swiss and German universities. He is an author, co-author, or editor of 41 books, and over 300 peer-reviewed publications. He managed or participated in numerous EU-funded research projects as well as those financed by the industry and Polish public institutions. He was the Chief Executive of an R&D company set up by one of the biggest Polish IT Groups. He was responsible for the strategy and coordination of international relations of Semantic Technology Institutes International. Professor Abramowicz is the vice president of the Polish Association of Management Information Systems and was a member of the Polish governmental Informatics Council.
