These papers were selected from a number of outstanding presentations at the 13th European Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security (ECCWS ’14) conducted in Athens, Greece at the University of Piraeus. These eight articles represent a wide breadth and depth of international participation from a number of countries and show a broad spectrum of expertise across a holistic view of Cyber Warfare.
Cyber Security is becoming even more important in the wake of the breaches at Sony, Target, Neiman-Marcus, Home-Depot, etc. The potential loss of consumer confidence in their data has huge implications and exciting new research is being conducted for these difference academic conferences. If you can, you should try to attend to join this group that covers the breadth and depth of information warfare. These next conference is closed for paper submissions, but have room for delegates to attend:

The 14th European Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security ECCWS-2015, will be hosted by the The University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield, UK on 2-3 July 2015, http://academic-conferences.org/eccws/eccws2015/eccws15-home.htm . They are still accepting abstracts.
Following that, the next ICCWS conference is confirmed for Boston University in March 2016, and the next three ECWWS conferences are tentatively set, as shown below:
· The 15th European Conference on Cyber Warfare & Security will be held on 7-8 July 2016 and the Bundeswehr University in Munich.
· The 16th European Conference on Cyber Warfare & Security will be held at University College Dublin in July 2017.
· The 17th European Conference on Cyber Warfare & Security will be held at the University of Coimbra in Portugal on 5-6 July 2018.
Finally we are very excited about our April 2015 edition of the JIW. We are once again collaborating with the National Security Agency for a special version of our publication which will feature at least eight articles by current serving staffers at this premier Cyber organization in the United States.

Dr. Leigh Armistead is the President of Peregrine Technical Solutions, a certified 8(a) small business that specializes in cyber security, and the Chief Editor of the Journal of Information Warfare. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy (1984), earned a master’s degree in Military History from Old Dominion University (1993), and a doctorate in Computer and Information Science from Edith Cowan University (2009). His major field of study is cyber power. He has published three books—all of which focus on the full spectrum of information warfare. He founded the International Conference on Cyber Warfare and Security, and the Vice-Chair Working Group 9.10–ICT Uses in Peace and War. He is a retired Naval officer.
